Earlier this year, Managing Director, Adam Partington and a small group of friends planned a 4 day trip over to watch the 24 hour Le Mans racing in France. Now a tradition for ‘Le Mans-ers’, hundreds of fans adorn their cars with various Le Mans logos and race team livery for the drive over. Adam thought this would be a great opportunity to get into the spirit of things and give his little Volvo a vinyl-makeover. And, if you’re going to do something, you may as well do it properly… We’re usually so busy helping other businesses get noticed, but this time we thought we’d have a bit of fun and take a playful stab at ‘stickering-up’ for Le Mans – and so, ‘Lightning McRaceFace’ was born. Taking a parody approach to Disney Pixar’s central ‘Cars’ movie character, Lightning McQueen, the team replicated graphics and logos giving the car a surprisingly authentic look, which has since gained much attention and many smiles along the way.
